Motorcycle ride to Death Valley

Dad, Kevin and Wayne took a motorcycle day-trip to Death Valley on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. Kevin rode one of dad's bikes and Chuck loaned his Harley to Wayne for the day. They met at Snick's house at 7:30 AM and got back around 3 PM. Dad mentioned that he was very grateful to be able to spend the day bonding with two of his boys.

Evan's Baptism

Congratulations to Evan Conger for his decision to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  What a special day for such a good boy!  

Guns & Hoses

The annual Guns & Hoses charity hockey game was held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Fiesta Hotel ice rink in Las Vegas and $7,000 was raised in Kevin's honor. Police beat the firefighters with a score of 4-1.

 

Happy 16th Birthday Andre!

Andre Solomon spent his birthday at a track meet in Bozeman, MT and beat his personal best at the javelin.  He was a little disappointed to have to spend his birthday in the cold wind at a track meet, however. 

The evening of Andre's birthday was spent with his family at a chinese restaurant in Columbus called Grand Fortune.  He received some clothes as a birthday gift and Suzy stated that "He looks so grown up and handsome.  We're proud of him and excited for him to turn 16, but at the same time it's a little sad because our sweet little boy is all grown up and now he can drive and date!"

Annual Charity Police/Fire Hockey Game

Saturday, May 2nd - Fiesta Hotel @ 5 PM
Admission: $10 Adults, $5 Kids

Las Vegas police & firefighters are battling it out on the ice tonight for their annual GUNS & HOSES charity game. This fundraiser is in honor of City of Las Vegas Firefighter, Kevin Evans, who is battling Stage IV Brain Cancer. Proceeds from the hockey game will go to help pay his medical expenses.
