Kyle left early this morning by bus to serve a two-week mini mission for the LDS Church. He will be with full-time missionaries and will be required to live by all of the mission rules. He is located in Dayton, NV which is 40 miles from Reno, 25 miles from Lake Tahoe, 12 miles from the State Capitol-Carson City and 7 miles from historic Virginia City.
Nestled in a fertile valley, Dayton is an oasis in western Nevada's high-desert country. Dayton is the earliest settlement in the state, originating with prospectors and settlers attracted by gold and by the Carson River that runs through the valley.
The average high in Dayton for July, the hottest month of the year is only 85ยบ (must be nice!).

That's cool you'll be in Dayton! Me, Milo and the kids have a very interesting story about Dayton. We spent a couple days in Virginia City after being in San Diego earlier in the week. Milo got so sunburned that he was literally crawling out of his skin, he was so miserable. Anyway, we ended up seeing a doctor in Dayton who gave Milo a shot and some prescription cream for relief.
I also meant to say how fun Virginia City was! It was one of the coolest locations we've vacationed.
